As you know from previews of The LEGO® Movie, Emmet is a special LEGO Minifigure. Well, not just special, THE Special. With the release of the film just around the corner, we’d like to ask you to be like Emmet and invite you to Be The Special!

From February 10th until March 31st, we invite you to take part in an alternative build competition.  In the spirit of The LEGO Movie, we ask you to take an existing set and use the pieces to create something new and original. The catch? You can only use pieces from that set! The size of the set doesn’t matter, or when it was released, so long as you only that you only use parts from that set.

The top 10 models with the most votes or “likes” on ReBrick will be entered into the semi-finals, from which the judges will choose the first, second, and third place winners.

The Who, What, Where and Why:

  • The building contest is open to all users 16 years and older holding a ReBrick account. (If you're under 16, you are invited to enter the Emmet Awards on LEGO.com.)The voting process is open to all users holding a ReBrick account.
  • To submit an entry:  The creation must be uploaded to an image or video (that’s right, you can create a video of your entry too) hosting website such as Flickr or YouTube, and then bookmarked in the Building Challenge category.
  • Entries must be created only using elements from one existing LEGO project and absolutely no customized elements.
  • Please indicate the original set, either by having a picture of the original model beside the new model or by including the model number and name in the description of the image.
  • The contest begins February 10st 2014 at 9:00 A.M. Eastern Standard Time (EST) (that’s 15:00 Central European Time). Entries submitted to ReBrick before this date and time will not be accepted into the contest. The competition is open for submissions until March 31st 2014 at 8:59 A.M. EST (14:59 CET).
  • The final voting period will take place from March 31st 2014 at 9:00 A.M. EST (15:00 CET) until April 7th 2014 at 8:59 A.M. EST (14:59 CET). During this time, any ReBrick user can vote on entries, but no new entries will be accepted.
  • Official Judging will begin at 9:00 A.M.  EST on April 7th 2014 and will end at 9:00 A.M. EST on April 14th2013.
  • The set you choose to rebuild CANNOT be from LEGO Group Licensed IPs, such as Star Wars, Lord of the Rings or even LEGO Architecture.  You can however use any LEGO Group created IP, such as LEGO City or LEGO Friends.  You can use The LEGO Movie sets too.
  • The team of judges will review the 10 bookmarks with most likes and select one (1) grand prize winner, one (1) second place winner, and one (1) third place winner. The 10 semi-finalist videos will be reviewed based on creativity, originality and relation to theme.
  • The jury will consist of:
    • Frederikke Hoff, Community Editor at the LEGO Group
    • Michael Fuller, Senior Designer at The LEGO Group who has worked on The LEGO Movie sets
    • Chris McKay, Co-Director of The LEGO Movie
  • Any use of the LEGO logo will result in disqualification.
  • All entries and entrants must follow the ReBrick House Rules
  • We reserve the right to disqualify any entry that does not follow the official rules. Any form of cheating will result in a banning of user profile from ReBrick.

Oops, never mind. I just couldn't find it, lol. For some reason it was only letting me view 6 pages of entries. Great to see this contest has so much participation!

My entry "Eagle Family" was in the Be The Special contest page, but now I can't find it in there. Did it somehow get taken out of there for some reason? I followed all the guidelines.
