Dthoward717 visits museums and dream homes. Judging from his collection on ReBrick and Flickr, he also has been to Hogwarts and OZ as well.
“I have always been a great fan of architecture, but haven't had an outlet for my expression of the art. Now I can design and build the houses I have always wanted to live in, the businesses I have always wanted to frequent, and the museums that I have always wanted to visit,” explains Dthoward717. “LEGO® [bricks] has opened up a creative aspect that I don't get to explore in my day to day life.”
Dthoward717 is a 40-something transplant from New York living in Rhode Island, where he has taught at the University of Rhode Island for the last 15 years. It’s possible this academic background causes him to focus on historical builds, although he also enjoys the architecture/ modular world.
“I am still trying to find focus, so you will see a thousand different types of things,” he writes. “MOC [My Own Creation] modulars, micro-scale Providence landmarks, a Wizard of OZ thing I was trying, and, of course, Harry Potter Hogwarts and Diagon Alley.”
Aside from Flickr, you can also find Dthoward717d on Bricklink and ToysnBricks.
“It really has been a great experience working with LEGO again,” says Dthoward717. “I was always LEGO crazy as a kid (seventies) and now, as an adult, I can buy whatever sets I want!”
